Jessica Andersen, CMHC

Jessica is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and she obtained her Master of Counseling degree from the University of Phoenix in 2008.

Jessica works from a person-centered approach, using her training and experience as tools to facilitate success in therapy, addressing concerns with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, interpersonal skills, grief and loss, self-esteem, and confidence issues. She most often uses Eye Movement Desenitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and other trauma related modalities, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).  She has spent most of her professional career working with teens and their family, young adults struggling to thrive, and adults who are finding it difficult to deal with daily life challenges for a variety of reasons.

She also participates in her own therapy work and believes that is a vital part to being a healthy, appropriate, and successful therapist for her clients.

When she is not at work, she stays busy raising her three kids. She also enjoys being outside, gardening, traveling, and being with friends.
